Spent the last few days with Julie's folks in Rhode Island. Mitchell got to play in the snow, watch a Player Piano (which I knew he'd love) and bond with his cousins. Miriam got to be beautiful and adored, and pretty much rule the house.

We flew up on Independence Air, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Despite one or two glitches, their personnel were charming and helpful beyond the call of duty. Travelling with two kids Mitchell and Miriam's ages is not an easy thing, emotionally or logistically, but the folks at IA did everything they could to help us.

I'm hoping that the laptop will help me increase my frequency of blogging.

Last night Mitchell got a Hess Truck (the 2003 version.) He loved it. He wanted to take it to bed with him last night. Growing up I got a Hess truck every year for Chanukah, either from my Father or from Uncle Marvin. It was great to see his eyes light up when we opened it, and took the race cars out of the back.

Miriam loves to pet the kitties, but so far they've mostly run away from her.

Today we gave Mitchell the Best Day Ever (for a two-year-old.)

In the morning our local firehouse had an open house. Mitchell wants to be a fireman when he grows up.

Then in the afternoon, we went to the Circus. The Big Apple Circus is a great, spectacular one-ring circus. Really great scale for young kids, fun, amazing acts to watch. Acrobats, tumblers, jugglers, trained cats, dogs, birds and horses, and clowns that are neither evil or scary.
